Easy Holiday Treat Containers

My friend and fellow demo are doing FREE card making classes at the local community center on Mondays and this week I brought samples in to show them how they can make easy little treat containers for kids parties or just for fun.

Many of you have made or at least seen the sour cream containers before, but just encase you haven't, here are the ones I made.

Of course these use some of my favorite stamps from the Holiday Catalog. I just can't stop using that Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set and the Cookie Cutter halloween set is just as cute! Just by changing the paper and the little person on the front you can have treats for all the different upcoming holidays. I was going to add a bat to that Mummy one but I forgot, lol.

I will put directions on later but you can find many on Pinterest.

The paper size is 4 1/2x 6 for these which makes them a tad bit smaller but they still hold a decent amount of candy and there is not much wasted paper.

Don't forget that there is a great sale going on right now at Stampin' Up! on

designer series paper

and some other great things for World Card making day (which was October 1st!)

If you place an order and use hostess code B34V447C and I will mail you a FREE gift!

Who doesn't want FREE paper?

If you are anything like me, then you will LOVE this sale on paper!! I don't know about you, but I don't think I could ever have enough paper. I think my husband and kids would disagree though, lol.

Seriously, I think I could buy 50 packs of the Candy Cane Lane paper just so I could still have some after I make all the adorable cards I see on Pinterest using it.

If you would like to take advantage of this Paper Sale, use Hostess Code: B34V447C and you will get a FREE gift from me!

Digital Download Tuesday!

Some really cute new digi downloads today!   Do you have MDS? Do you use it much?  I have MDS and photoshop and I have used some of the MDS downloads in both. I will say I like the convenience of making a card front on MDS but have really not printed any out. I do a little digital scrapbooking but not lately. So what do I use MDS for?  Newsletters, flyers and things for my stampin' up! business and also for school flyers, emails, craftshows and more. It is great to have these images and sayings in a digital format. If you have not tried MDS, contact me today to find out how you can get started!

Witches Candy Shop Home decor piece

I saw online where someone had used a piece of the new halloween paper from the holiday catalog to make this wonderful home decor piece and just knew I had to add to it to my framed decor class! What a beautiful but easy piece to make for your home!

I know I saw it in black and white on the Chic n scratch blog but I saw this colored version somewhere. I have google searched for it for the last half hour and have yet to find it again, so it may have been on a demo website, or sudsol. If this was your idea for the frame, please let me know so I can credit you!

If you are interested in making this piece and a christmas one also, register now! Early bird registration ends tomorrow! Save $5 off the cost of the class if you pre-pay for it by the end of the day Oct 1.

Trick or Treat!

So I have plenty of things coming up on my calendar. Tomorrow night is my evening Holiday Hustle Christmas class, Monday is my Five minutes to fabulous class, featuring Halloween cards, including the one from today's post, next Friday morning is my Holiday Hustle afternoon class.

This set uses images from the Best of Halloween stamp set, and the hallween washi tape!

Plain whisper white cardstock, a focal image and a little washi tape make a huge impact on this card!

This card was cased from this blog. Sorry it is not to the actual blog posting but I am having trouble loading her blog tonight.

I did move my image more up to the center of the card but I really liked the look of it.
