Santa Suit~ Holiday Hustle Class #2

It is only September but Christmas card classes are already under way.  Last month we made some really cute cards and this month is some even better ones I think.

The first one is this Santa Suit card.  It was case'd from Tracy Bradley  That silver glimmer paper sure sparkles in the sunlight!

Supplies used:

Cardstock ~ basic black, real read, whisper white and silver glimmer paper

1/2 circle punch

apothecary accents framelits

Sentiment comes from cut apart christmas wheel that has been retired but we have a horizontal HO, HO, HO sentiment on the new this and that rotary stamps!

The next card is from Becky Roberts .  I have had this card on my "to make" list for over a year now but had just not gotten around to it. I am so glad I finally did, this card is just so cute.

Becky gives directions on how to make the elf shoes in her post so I will skip that part and just give the basics. The shoes are a top note die cut in half vertically, then cut in half horizontally so that you have 4 equal pieces.  The cut outs are made from the ornament punch and a circle punch ( I did not have that size circle so I used a oval punch) then inked the edges with chocolate chip. The shoe tips are 1/2 inch circle punches from red glimmer paper. The legs are from the dsp stack in the holiday catalog and that silver ribbon is also from the new catalog. The sentiment is a carry-over set from last years catalog that is still available for order.

Holiday Hustle Class #1

Tonight kicks off my Christmas card classes for the season with my Holiday Hustle #1 class. This class will be monthly and we will make 3-4 different Christmas cards that can be easily reproduced so that you can make more for everyone on your mailing list. 

I am not going to post all 4 of tonights cards today but will get them posted soon.

First up in my Holiday Hustle class is this card cased from Tammy Shaia.  I know the stamp set used is retired but this was my first time actually inking it up.  I used the Northern Flurry embossing folder (item # 120902), rhinestones, new candy dots in Bermuda Bay (#130931) and the brad bases for them (#132293)  Cardstock was whisper white and Bermuda bay, and the snowman was colored using smoky slate, bermuda bay. pool party and pumpkin pie.  The sentiment may be hard to recognize. I don't have as many Christmas sentiments as I wish I had and many of the ones I do have are on the larger side. The "let it snow" sentiment actually comes from a christmas word wheel that I cut apart.

I was in quite the hurry trying to get my samples ready for class with all the running going on with kids activities. (I thought once they were back in school I would have all kinds of extra time. I was WRONG!)  Anyway, when I stamped the sentiment I messed up and had to restamp on top so it is kind of shadowed and not how I wanted it to be.
