First Day of Kindergarten

Today was the first day of kindergarten for my youngest :(   I was not ready for her to go but she was very excited. So last night we spend the evening making a small gift for not only her teacher but the other kindergarten teacher as well.

I made these little notepad holders using stampin' up! cardstock, design paper, and a few small stamps.
I used the recently retired storybook design paper for the top and used stamps from last years Ronald McDonald stamp set for the flowers, frogs and birds stamped on the cut up printer paper.

Here are the gifts all packaged and ready to go. As you can see on the blue one I forgot to do the little half circle cut out. I used the new bow die to pretty up the package and the chalk talk framelits for the tag.

Sorry they are not very clear pictures, sent them from my phone as a small file and didn't think about the sizing issue until now .

I got the idea from googling teacher gifts and patterns from StampwithBlythe as well as splitcoaststampers. However the instructions from SCS were for a small square box and Blythes were missing the cut out. I will be preparing a tutorial for the boxes this week and post it as soon as it's finished.

  2. She loved it! I am glad she likes it so well, but I kind of wish she would have wanted to homeschool. I miss her.
