Christmas Card 2012

Finally got all my Christmas cards done and MAILED! So everyone should be getting their cards from me this week.  If you have not already received your card DON'T LOOK!  For the most part everyone received the same Christmas card this year. It is much easier to do 50 of one card then do even 4 different cards and try to remember not to send out the same ones to the same people next year. If I make them all the same then I just make sure not to do this one again and all is good. If you know me, then you know there is no possible way I would remember next year who got what as a card, lol.

I love the crumb cake and cherry cobbler cardstock together. If Stampin' Up! ever decides to retire these two colors I think I will have to call DS every day until they change their mind. I LOVE these colors. So when I found this card made by Michelle Le Breton, I knew it was what I wanted for my cards this year.  It was perfect the way it was so I only changed a few things. I used dsp behind the candy cane instead of ribbon, and I used the holly stamp from Dear Santa instead of the leaves and button on her card so that they would be easier to mail. Then I thought it needed a little more bling so of course I had to use the dazzling details in red on the holly berries!

cherry cobbler and crumb cake cardstock. Candy cane framelit from Scentsational season. Holly stamp from retired"  Dear Santa" set, white gel pen, red dazzling details and Merry Christmas is from "greetings of the season".  Be of good cheer DSP under the candy cane cut out.

Part of the cards all lined up waiting on the dazzling details to dry so that I can put them in their envelopes.

  2. I absolutely LOVED this card! I am sorry to say that I only had time to make 20 homemade cards, so I didn't get them sent to some people (Including you!). Next year I hope to be more on the ball and get more made.
I allways put the ones I get from you or make at your place as examples for me to make later. I can't wait until I have time to do a bunch of them. :)
