Not fun
Some time today was spent stamping but it was not happy crafting :( Last month my grandpa passed away and I needed to send thank you cards for flowers and things. I had been putting this off because it was something I didn't want to think about but it needed done. Yes I could have used ones from the funeral home and had it done and over however when I stopped by there last week the lady still didn't have things together so I didn't get any thank you cards picked up and honestly I felt I should make them myself. If they cared enough to send something I should take the time to send them a proper thank you.

Cascading Birthday Card
This card is for a friends daughter and I really hope she likes it!
I saw these cards on a couple different blogs and loved them! I was mostly inspired by the cards here. Absolutely gorgeous!
But since her instructions were for Australian sized paper, I used the tutorial from here.

More Butterflies!
I told you there would be more butterflies! Loved the butterfly card and had to do it in more colors. I think it makes a great all occasion card. Cute for birthday, get well, anything really. Since the punch only uses a small bit of paper to make a card I will be making tons of these to have on hand. You would be seeing dozens right now had I not ran out of linen thread and pearls!

Altered Jr. legal pads
So months and months ago I purchased a large pack of jr legal pads at Sams club and had them taken to Staples and cut down some so that I could put them in Stampin' Up! dvd cases to make journals. I had plenty left over and saw this tutorial so thought I would cut it down to 7 inches instead of her 8 to fit my cut down pads. Not sure what I want to put on the orange one yet and it does not use SU papers but some I had left in my stash pre demo days. The pink one does use SU paper and that great polka dot paper is from the paper pad in the spring mini catalog. I am loving the papers in that stack. Had to throw in another butterfly too, lol. Does anyone know a cheaper place to buy the RSVP pens? Staples if you buy them in a bulk pack still averages to .62 per pen and Dollar tree has a 2 pack for $1 so that's .50 each and the cheapest I have found but wondered if someone knew of a better deal than that.
I also made a few of these with pictures of One Direction on the front for some teenage girls I know and they loved them. Maybe I should make some for the upcoming quarter auction.

Butterflies!
My card does not compare to the one I saw. She had beautiful stitching around the edges but I did not want to drag out my sewing machine. I also know that hers had monochromatic butterflies but couldn't remember if they went light to dark or dark to light.
UPDATE: I found the card! Apparently I pinned it to my pinterest board when I found it! So here is the link to the card
There were a couple more of these but I already mailed them off. Love the simple look of the white layer on the white and the butterflies. The stitching would have added to it but I am happy with how they turned out. I WILL be making many more of these!
